Tell us about yourself.
My name is Tai Seales. I’m a health and wellness strategist. I teach busy moms simple strategies to prioritize their health and wellness with a very busy schedule.
Describe an area of your life where you felt less confident and how you overcame it.
One of the areas where I felt less confident was when I became a mom again, and I struggled to balance life (my health, self-care, family, relationships, goals, and career). I began focusing on what I really wanted my everyday life to look like vs. what it currently did, and I started to make changes according to it. For instance, I wasn’t very active and had complications with my health, so I attended the gym on lunch breaks. I also felt like I didn’t have enough time with my kids, so I switched careers.
Why is self-love important, and how do you practice it in your life today?
Self-love teaches us how to be compassionate to ourselves. I practice self-love by eating well, working out, practicing mindfulness, and having my self-care routine scheduled in my calendar.
What advice would you give someone who is struggling to love who they are?
Start by working on your mindset. What are some of the limiting beliefs that you made your truth? What caused them? From there, you can counteract those limiting beliefs by stating who you are (or who you will become) through affirmations. Ex: I am beautiful, I am capable, I am loved, etc.
How does the work you do now help build confidence in others?
My work helps women to prioritize themselves. In doing so they establish routines that will support them so that they can show up as their best self while supporting those that they love.
